The Choir of Saint Bernard's Church

Under the direction of its Choirmaster
& Organist of twenty years, Mr. Steven R. Lawrence, the Saint Bernard’s Choir is a blended professional and volunteer choir that excels in the performance of the English and Classical music traditions. The Choir offers hymns, anthems, and chants in our 10 a.m. Sunday liturgies of Holy Eucharist from September to June.

Professional vocalist Ms. Luthien Brackett of the Antioch Chamber Ensemble directs the Children's &
Youth Choir of Saint Bernard's.

In 2008 we welcome Mr. David L. Dockery as Associate Organist.

In addition to its vocal offerings in the Sunday worship of the church, the Choir also performs in the events of Music at Saint Bernard’s throughout the year, a program of classical music outreach to the communities of the Somerset Hills.

In 2008, with the return to worship in the fully restored Saint Bernard's Church, the musicians of Saint Bernard's will have the use of the new R. A. Colby Organ, designed by Dr. Charles Callahan of Vermont. This instrument, a combination of pipe and digital technology, will play a foundational role in future performances and events, as well as in Sunday and holiday worship.
